KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here today denied an application by National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd (NFCorp) executive chairman Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail to strike out two criminal breach of trust (CBT) charges, involving RM49.7 million, against him.
Judge Norsharidah Awang,in delivering her verdict, said the case warranted a full trial because there were no defects in the charges against the applicant.
The trial begins on Jan 20.
Deputy public prosecutor Awang Armadajaya Awang Mahmud prosecuted while counsel Harjinderjit Singh represented the applicant.
Mohamad Salleh had filed the application on January 7.
On March 12 last year, Mohamad Salleh, in his capacity as the director of NFCorp was charged with CBT amounting to RM9,758,140 to fund part purchase of two units of condominium in Kuala Lumpur and transferring RM40 million into the account of National Meat & Livestock Corporation Sdn Bhd in 2009.
