NIBONG TEBAL, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- The flip-flopping attitude of the PAS-led Kelantan government in wanting to implement hudud proves the party's failure to fulfill its promises to the people.
Penang Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman said Muslims in the country, especially in Kelantan, had been waiting for more than 22 years for PAS to implement the law.
"The failure of the Kelantan government to implement hudud proves that PAS is not capable of implementing the law although the Syariah Court in Kelantan is ready," he told reporters after opening the Asyura porridge making contest at Taman Tasek Maju here Sunday.
He was commenting on a statement by Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah yesterday that the state government was still not ready to implement hudud. BERNAMA
