MCA has accused DAP state representatives of lying again over the Kidex issue, saying they are still twisting facts and misleading the public.
"Their incompetence and lack of knowledge and sincerity is no good for Petaling Jaya residents," said Petaling Jaya Utara Youth chief Andy Lee Vee Meng.
He singled out DAP duo – Yeo Bee Yin (Damansara Utara) and Rajiv Rishyakaran (Bukit Gasing) – for choosing to cover up the truth and instead putting the blame on Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim
"It is common knowledge that the Selangor state executive council's approval is pivotal in constructing highways or expressways in the state.
"The federal government cannot bulldoze Kidex (Kinrara-Damansara Expressway) or any other expressway projects in Selangor," he said in a statement.
"Without the approval of the state executive council, Kidex cannot take place or shape," he added.
Lee is irked that Yeo, Rajiv and other DAP assemblymen are still distorting the picture.
"They are now shifting their focus by blaming it all on Khalid who cannot legally approve Kidex," he said.
He charged that the state executive council did not protect the interests of Petaling Jaya residents when Kidex was first presented to the state government way back in 2011.
"They approved the highway project without consulting the residents. If Kidex is a Barisan Nasional crony project, they should have rejected the proposal outright."
Lee pointed out that the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) and state planning officials were also part of the team that prepared the Kidex alignment report. The report was approved in 2012.
"Yeo and her DAP colleagues are now claiming they do not have information and know nothing (about the report). Please do not fool us by saying you know nothing," he said.
He added that they failed to get feedback from Petaling Jaya residents "for reasons best known to themselves".
Lee threw a parting shot at the DAP representatives: "Stop your lies and hypocrisy by pretending to be sympathetic towards the residents."
