Twenty-eight of the 43 Malaysian victims of the Malaysia Airlines (MAS) Flight MH17 tragedy have been identified up to today, said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
He said 15 of them were passengers and 13, crew. Fourteen of the 28 were Muslims and the other 14, non-Muslims.
"I can confirm that on Friday, the remains of 15 (Malaysians) and one (Dutch national) will be brought home (to Malaysia). Most probably, more remains may be brought back, and this will be confirmed tomorrow,"
This ceremony will see the MAF directly involved for the first time in according honours to civilians. I believe we can do the best that we can. I'm very satisfied with the preparations
Also present was Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Dato' Sri Rohani Abdul Karim.
