A strange video showing this unidentified figure running behind a toddler has sparked fear, awe and skepticism among netizens.
According to a description on YouTube, the clip was filmed in Sante Fe, Angertina by a concerned parent of the child.
Although the incident occurred in January 2011, Benjamin's parents only decided to release the video to the public recently.
It is said that they have always observed Benjamin playing and talking to himself in the house, but never worried because they thought it was normal for his age.
However, they noticed him showing nervousness in the hallway on one occasion and decided to record a video of his behaviour using a phone.
That was when they saw a 'creature' running out from their kitchen and into the garden, leaving behind a foul smell.
The video caption added that this was only the first of many other strange incidents over the next few years.
Benjamin is five years old now and the presence of similar 'entities' have apparently not stopped.
The video has sparked a debate online, with many netizens questioning the legitimacy of the video.
One wrote, "This is fake simply by the parent's reaction. Any woman that see's something like that would freak out and get the baby right away.
"Yet. the reaction [in the video] was, 'Ehh what was that, let's investigate. Doesn't matter if the creature will eat the baby, we are curious. Fake!"
Another user also commented, "I can make the same thing with my software!!! You film 2 videos separately and put [them together."
He added that the video uploader only wanted to create a buzz to garner views.
However, many also believe the incident to be real and shared their own similar experiences.
