FORMER SULTAN JOHORE LAWYER ARRESTED IN SINGAPORE

A lawyer who has been on the run from Malaysian police for more than three years has been arrested in Singapore.

It is learnt that the lawyer, who was residing in the Middle East these past few years, had gone to the island republic to visit a relative who is seeking treatment in a hospital there.

Singapore police detained the lawyer, who is in his early 50s, at around 10am Wednesday after a warrant was issued by Interpol.

He is expected to be handed over to Malaysian police soon.

He is wanted over his alleged involvement in several commercial crime cases in Johor, including a RM660,000 cheating case.
