Rogue Filipino Guard's Girlfriend Also Using Fake MyKad

KUALA LUMPUR: The woman believed to be the girlfriend of the Filipino guard who robbed a jewellery store in Setapak recently is herself holding a fake MyKad.

The woman, (picture) whose MyKad bearing the name of Hasnah Hassan, is actually Norena Lamuddin, 27.

“She is from Kampung Lambitan in the Philippines,” City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah told reporters at the city police headquarters yesterday.

Police, he said, believed that the woman was still in the city and in possession of a large portion of the stolen gold necklaces.

SAC Ku said they were also looking for another man who was with the guard and another accomplice when the two were arrested at the Low-Cost Carrier Terminal on Nov 3.

“Based on our interrogation, the man had fled the scene when we were making the two arrests,” he said.

He added that police also detained a 26-year-old friend of the guard in Shah Alam and his supervisor shortly after the robbery.

SAC Ku said that although the 51-year-old supervisor had a permit to carry and use firearms, he had given the gun to the guard who committed the robbery.

The four were still under remand, he said.

During the robbery, the rogue guard, who was posing as Sabahan Hikman Jacob, had threatened employees with a pistol as they were opening the jewellery shop at about 9.30am on Oct 31.

The guard, who escaped with a tray of 100 necklaces, had reportedly only been working for the store for two months.

The suspect later led police to a house in Pandan Jaya where they recovered a Smith & Wesson .38 revolver, five bullets, price tags and some of the stolen jewellery.
